You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. John 15:16

I remember being in grade school and lining up to be chosen for a team to play ball. I was usually one of the last ones to be chosen. It didn’t feel so great. Well, there was a reason I wasn’t chosen sooner. I was clumsy, and still am. But as the years have passed I’ve been chosen for other things.

It’s good to know that Christ has chosen you and me. Yes, you! You’ve been chosen for mission! Each and every one of us has been chosen and called to a mission. That means bearing fruit for the kingdom of God. You have been chosen by Jesus Christ to bear fruit to do mission. That doesn’t mean that all of us are called to pack our bags and move to the other side of the world.

We can do mission right where we are, unless you’ve been called to move to the otters side of the world. You can get involved with an international mission right where you are! I’ll bet there is one in your city or very close by. I would be willing to bet as well that there are local organizations that would really appreciate you realizing that you are chosen and called for mission!

What is your mission?
